The number of participants is limited to 25 people.

Please understand that participation is only possible after successful registration/booking. You will receive a registration confirmation by e-mail and can download your ticket for registration. Please present this in printed or digital form on request at the entrance.

If the event is fully booked, you can register for the waiting list. If we are able to offer you a place on the waiting list, you will be informed separately. Please cancel your registration for the event if you are unable to attend so that other participants can take your place.

Providing contact information for registering for 40 Years of European Capitals of Culture

This registration procedure is used to record the contact details of participants of 40 Years of European Capitals of Culture in order to ensure the organization of the respective event.

Your contact details are recorded on the participation portal of the Free State of Saxony. When accessing the online event booking, the web server saves some data by default. The data protection provisions of the participation portal of the Free State of Saxony can be found under this link.

2. Purpose of the processing of personal data:

• The data collection serves exclusively to organize the event.
• The surname, first name, (business) e-mail addresses, name and address of the institution and your institution (employer/place of work) of participants in the event are recorded.

3. Legal basis for data processing

• The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Article 6 (1e) GDPR in conjunction with Article 3 (1) of the Saxon Data Protection Implementation Act (SächsDSDG).

4. Storage period/data deletion

    The data will be deleted 3 months after the end of the booked event.

5. Disclosure of data:

• The data will be processed for the preparation of the event by the Protocol and International Affairs Division and the Cultural Office of Chemnitz City Council.
• Other data will not be passed on to third parties.

6. You are entitled to the following rights if the legal requirements are met:

• Right of access to personal data concerning you (Article 15 DSGVO)
• Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (Article 16 DSGVO)
• Right to erasure of personal data or to be “forgotten” (Article 17 DSGVO)
